Top 19 Polishes of Now!

Ok so a while back I mentioned doing a top 25 post, but when I was going through my melmer I only found 19 nail polishes that I can call 'favorites', although I'm sure that once I finnish off my untrieds I'll have 25 favorites, but I haven't so they don't count.  The other thing is that I went through and pulled out my favorites, and got to my favorite 5 when I realized that I couldn't figure out where the rest of the polishes stood in 6-19th favorite.  So I have my top 5 and the other 14 favorites in no specific order.

(From L-R: Essie 'French Affair', OPI 'Swimsuit...Nailed It''Mermaids Tears', 'Hot and Spicy', ALDO 'Teal the Spotlight')

This is the TOP 5!  Essie being #1 and the ALDO being #5  This shows I have a thing for cremes doesn't it?

(OPI 'An Affair in Red Square', Essies 'Shine of the Times'Wet n' Wild 'Cost is No Issue', Sinful Colors 'Nail Junkie', Jessie's Girl 'Glee')

(Sinful Colors 'See You Soon', Avon 'Classic Fit', Nails Inc. 'House of Parliment', Color Club 'Sugar Plum Fairy', OPI 'Steady as She Rose')

(Color Club 'Hot Like Lava'Revlon 'Poppy', Finger Paints 'Twisted', Essie 'Power Clutch')

There you have it folks, my top 19 of 2012.  For most of these you can see my swatches, but not all have been posted, but if you want to see swatches of a specific polish tell me and I can try to rush-blog :D

What are your favorite polishes??

Wet N' Wild 'Believe Me, It's Real'

This is another Color Icon glitter, and I have to say: I LOVE THESE!  All of the glitters are such pretty colors and really dense, plus there only $3 ($9 per ounce).  This was another present from my lil' bro, along with this nail polish.  This another SUPER dense glitter 3 coats.  'Believe Me, It's Real' is a super fine royal blue glitter with larger purple hexagons.  So pretty.  It was gritty and a pain to take off like all glitters, but it's so pretty in person.  And it's a lot easer to tell that there's purple glitter in person.  Is all for today folks!

Wet N' Wild 'Cost is No Issue'

This is 'Cost is No Issue' From the Wet N' Wild Ice Baby Collection which is a bunch of super bright and pretty glitters.  And believe it or not my 7 year old brother, Mac, picked out this nail polish and two other AMAZING glitters for my Christmas present!  So like every other nail polish in this collection it is a micro glitter with bigger glitter in another color and I like that glitter size ratio?  (Is that what it's called?)  This is a teal micro glitter base with medium blue bigger glitter.  And I personally love this color and glitter in person is so pretty flashing and, glittering...    Did you guys get any of the Ice Baby polishes?

Wet n' Wild 'Tempt'

This was a Christmas present from my friend Jessica and it's a really pretty color (don't look at the pointer finger, I took these pictures a day later).  This is a type of Wet n' Wild called  'Speed Zone', but, it's still really good.  It dries really fast and for this color it was only 2 coats.  One weird thing though,  in the bottle this looks like it's a metallic color, but on the nail it's like a shimmer and it's a lot darker (See picture below).  Do you guys have any nail polish that looks different in the bottle than on the nail?

Wet n' Wild 'Night Prowl'

So out of the six missed mani's (shown here!) and OLIVIA said I should show you this nail polish first.  This is Wet n' Wild 'Night Prowl'.  This is 2 coat.  It's kinda funny cause on the first coat there's like barely any paint, then on the second coat it's totally covered.  This is a black base with purple glitter in it.  Oh yeah and here's a bonus:  It's $.99!!!  That's all for today FRAAAAYNDS!

Wet n' Wild 'SaGreena the Teenage Witch'

I don't have a lot of greens, only 5 (six if you count Essie's 'Mint Candy Apple', but it looks blue in some lights), and five out of 122 is only 4%.  And most of them are light and lime-y greens.  So when I saw 'Sagreena' for $.99 I had to have it, considering I have nothing like it.

I don't know if it's because of the brush (although i don't think so) or my amazing skill.  I'm going to go with my amazing, getting better everyday, nail skillz.  But i did a good job with this manicure!  Well at least by my standards.  Okay, I'm done bragging  about myself, onto the color.  In the picture above you can see how it's black in some spots and medium green shimmer.  But this is such a pretty color.  I really love this color.

Wet n' Wild 'Grey's Anatomy'

WERE BACK!!! *scary screechy music*
I honestly have no idea why we had not technological connection to the outside world for 3 days (I missed the season 7 premiere of Criminal minds and I was ready to scream!!  I'd been waiting for over a month!!)  Any ways!

So I have the pictures for three other swatches, but Grey's Anatomy is up first!

I absolutely love this color!  This has crazy duochrome it goes from that purple color (shown above) but it also goes to this green-gray (shown below).  And sometimes you see a more true green color on the edge of the purple at times.

The formula was OK, but there was bubbles and I had to use four coats (it was super sheer).  One thing I've noticed is that the more sheer the color the more bubbles (probably because I am impatient and don't want to wait for another coat to dry because I want opaque color!)

Here's a picture that shows the green-gray (and knuckle hair?!  oh well not too bad ;) ).  In the bottle you see that super pretty blue and some gold is visible on the bottom.  Sadly, they don't show up on the nails.  I think it's because of the angle of the glass that shows colors that don't come out on the nail.  Which is super depressing, because the best colors are in that corner part.

BTW, there's only two pictures (I could have taken a million pictures, it's that pretty) is that my dad's Nikon is having a breakdown.  It had 1300 pictures with room to spare.  After uploading them all to the computer it said there was too much pictures with only 135 pics!  It was totally weird!  So for now these are the last Nikon pics on this blog.  To bad for the messed up camera brain 'caused it takes such great pics.

Wet n Wild 'Party of Five Glitters'

Now, I know most bloggers have already posted about this nail polish , But since I bought it with the other Wet  n Wild Fastdry polishes and this one is just glittery and rainbow-y.  (btw the hand model is maren and she felt the need  to sloppily put on other coats (ggrrrrr.....).

This is 4 coats of 'Party of Five Glitters' over bare nails (well if you want to get technical it's over a base coat.

On Mimi's other hand we put 'PO5G' (sorry it's such a long name and I was getting lazy).  Here's the colors we used:

THUMB: LA Colors 'Black Velvet'
POINTER: Sinful Colors 'Dream On'
MIDDLE: ALDO 'Pampered Patent'
RING: Wet n Wild 'SaGreena the Teenage Witch'
PINKIE: Revlon 'Silver Dollar'

Sorry there aren't any pictures of it over black but that's shown so often that we didn't really feel the need to include it.  Here, is a link to one of our favorite nail bloggers -Kayla Shevonne- Who shoes it over black and in comparison to Deborah Lippmann's 'Happy Birthday' (which looks nothing like PO5G)

All in all, for $1.99 (although right now there $0.99 at Walgreens!!) this is a really good glitter that any nail junkie should have.

Wet n Wild 'Blue Wants to be a Millionaire'

So at Walgreens they were having a sale where all of the WnW fastdry nail polishes were 99 cents instead of the usual $1.99, So I got these 4:

(left to right: Party of Five glitters, Blue Wants to be a millionaire, Grey's Anatomy, and Segreena the Teenage Witch)
All of these except Party of five glitters (the one pictured is  my 2nd bottle) were ones that I had wanted but was too cheap to pay the extra buck.

I put this picture in because it shows the amazing holo glitter in Blue wants to be a millionaire. (plus an up close of Grey's anatomy's duo-chrome)

This polish was so sheer what you see here is four coats but it could have defiantly used 5 on some nails and when Mimi took these pics it had just rained so the holo glitter doesn't show up (although the next day in the sun you could see it, it was just as spaced out as in the bottle).  (note: pictured without a topcoat)

One thing I don't like about this polish is that the blue color is kinda washed out.  If you look at the tips of my fingers you can see the yellow of my nail poking through but only up close (they were dyed yellow/orange back when I didn't believe in base coats).  One thing I have to say is that even though it looks like a glitter and has the texture of a glitter, removal was really easy.  Also it dried quiet fast (duh it being a Fastdry polish. Another thing (and you can sort of see it in the pictures) this dries to a semi-rough and matte finnish (although I think it's matte because of the rough finnish).
