Essie 'Shine of the Times'

 WARNING: PICTURE HEAVY POST

So 'Shine of the Times' (hehe that name is so funny) is a duochrome flakie layering polish.  It is not holographic.  THIS is holographic.  Duochrome is when from different angles the same polish looks different colors.  And flakies are these little misshapen glitter like things, but they don't 'sparkle'.  And you cant wear a flakie by itself because there clear, but when layered over colors (especialy black) they look really pretty.  This specific flackie flashes from orange to yellow to green and ontop of different colors you see other colors too.  So all the pictures show all the different angles.

Color Club 'Sugar Plum Fairy'

This is from the Color Club Beyond the Mistletoe collection.  It's 6 glitters and a top coat (and I got mine at Ross for $8!).  'Sugar Plum Fairy' is a light lavender holographic glitter.  Because a friend of mine told me that this one took more coats I thought that it wouldn't cover, so I started with a layer of LA Colors 'Black Velvet'.  I really wish I hadn't done that, because it shows where the glitter doesn't cover.  And this is 4 coasts.  So if you use this layer over silver (Used that on a friend of mine (Sarah) and it looked great).  But the rainbows that flash across the nail is MAGIC!  (top picture in the sun bottom in the shade)  Do you have any holographic nail polish?

Wet n' Wild 'Night Prowl'

So out of the six missed mani's (shown here!) and OLIVIA said I should show you this nail polish first.  This is Wet n' Wild 'Night Prowl'.  This is 2 coat.  It's kinda funny cause on the first coat there's like barely any paint, then on the second coat it's totally covered.  This is a black base with purple glitter in it.  Oh yeah and here's a bonus:  It's $.99!!!  That's all for today FRAAAAYNDS!

Day 2: Orange Nails

So today is orange nails and the only untried orange that I have is a Pumpkin Nail Lacquer (OMG BAR GLITTER!).  So I layered it over one of my favorite oranges

(Pumpkin Nail Lacquer, Sinful Colors 'Courtney Orange')

I love this bottle!  It's a happy jack-o-lantern on one side and angry on the other!  This orange and black bar glitter in a clear base and it's perfect for halloween

This 'Courtney Orange' plain with 3 coats.  It has a pretty gold shimmer to it.  That's about all I can say.  Well that and it's orange.

And then I put some of the glitter on each of my thumbs.  Can't wait for tomorrow's challenge!  My favorite color Yellow!!!!!!

Black, White & Yellow Water Marble

So on Thursday I decided to water marble my nails ( don't water marble at 9:30 on a screen porch with bad lighting.  Just saying...).  I had wanted to do a black and white water marble for time but i thought just black and white would be kinds boring.

(left to right: L.A. Colors Shock, Black Velvet, ALDO Bauhaus Architect, Sinful Colors Snow Me White)

So I added L.A. Colors Shock and ALDO Bauhaus Architect (looked it up and Bauhaus is a design school).  In each water marble I did I only had one "ring" of the orange (although it only showed up orange on one of my nails)

Shiny:

Ok, so I know that i had said that this was the mani with  Seche Vite o top but for strange reasons it looks satin-y.

MATTIFIED:

I love the way my middle finger came out on this hand!

I like the middle finger best on this hand unfortunately when I matted this hand a bunch of weird spots came up. (best seen on the pinkie)

ALL TOGETHER NOW!
