Orly 'Passion Fruit'

Ew.  In the bottle 'Passion Fruit is a bright pink creme.  But, on the nail it's a drab awkward orange pink matte color.  This is 3 coats and the formula was RIDICULOUS!  Every time I did another coat it would wipe of part of the precious coat. and it had a matte finnish and that didn't save the application at all.  I had bought this at Sally Beauty (shown here) and I had so much hope, but no.  Oh well.

And on a side note the VOTING is going GREAT!  Thank you all for your votes and the news of them that you have shared!  And I'm hoping that those Orly's will be better than this one (not to hard a thing to do...)!

Island Girl Mood Nail Color

This is the Mood Nail Color set I got from my Island Girl Haul.  Well mood nail polish doesn't actually change with your mood (umm duh.).  But onto the swatches!

This is the nameless pink.  All of these dry matte although this is the only one that's photographed without a topcoat.  I'm not really a huge fan of hot pink but I do like this color.  This is 5 coats.  Yeah, did I forget to mention the formula on this SUCKED!  I probably should've done another coat.  If I went over it all of the polish below would disappear.

This was my favorite color.  And it was surprising because in the bottle it didn't look like I would like it, but it's so pretty.  Also It changed the most (see below).  It normally looked like this but in sunlight it was brighter and had the dark green tips.  This is 5 coats and the formula was better than the pinks.

This a really pretty blue.  It was my favorite until I swatched the green.  Color-wise I still love it mostest, but green has it's formula beat.

BEFORE

DIPPED IN POT OF BOILING WATER

They all changed colors but green is the most obvious. (no duh why else is it my favorite?!)

I like it normal better because then you see less awkwardness.  But I still think its cool how under extreme heat it changes color.

Day 6: Violet Nails

Why don't they just say purple?  I never understood the purpose of the word 'violet'.  Any ways I have a ba-jillion untried purple nail polishes.  But I decided to be a butt and not use them.  I started out with *4* horrible coats of L.A. Colors 'Nuclear Energy'.  I have 20 LA Colors and that's because Mimi had a spa birthday and everyone got a mani and a bottle of polish.  I got all of the left over polish.   Unfourtunatly, there colors are so sheer (the shimmers are the worst).  There cremes are all jellys, and it takes at least two coats of glitter to get 'sparse glitter'.  Here's my swatch:

Sorry for the messy-ness, butt any more than two coats and I stop caring.   This is a weird color.  It went anywhere from a grey plum to a deep purple to the color you see here.  Well I honestly should've stopped there but I didn't.  I added Sinful Colors 'Dream On'.  That color dries matte but in some lights it's an AMAZING deep purle, or a darker magenta.  It's weird.  I did a Half n' half tape man and it was... well... awkward...

Head on you can't really see the difference in the colors

Here's an angle.  I did 'Dream On' on the other side on the middle finger.

I don't like this manicure.  It makes me sad.  Oh well!  Probably going polish shopping this weekend!  Oh yeah BTW I'm going out of town so my ability to keep the challenge up is with Mimi.

No pressure though!

Wet n Wild 'Blue Wants to be a Millionaire'

So at Walgreens they were having a sale where all of the WnW fastdry nail polishes were 99 cents instead of the usual $1.99, So I got these 4:

(left to right: Party of Five glitters, Blue Wants to be a millionaire, Grey's Anatomy, and Segreena the Teenage Witch)
All of these except Party of five glitters (the one pictured is  my 2nd bottle) were ones that I had wanted but was too cheap to pay the extra buck.

I put this picture in because it shows the amazing holo glitter in Blue wants to be a millionaire. (plus an up close of Grey's anatomy's duo-chrome)

This polish was so sheer what you see here is four coats but it could have defiantly used 5 on some nails and when Mimi took these pics it had just rained so the holo glitter doesn't show up (although the next day in the sun you could see it, it was just as spaced out as in the bottle).  (note: pictured without a topcoat)

One thing I don't like about this polish is that the blue color is kinda washed out.  If you look at the tips of my fingers you can see the yellow of my nail poking through but only up close (they were dyed yellow/orange back when I didn't believe in base coats).  One thing I have to say is that even though it looks like a glitter and has the texture of a glitter, removal was really easy.  Also it dried quiet fast (duh it being a Fastdry polish. Another thing (and you can sort of see it in the pictures) this dries to a semi-rough and matte finnish (although I think it's matte because of the rough finnish).
